FAMILY MEDIATION TRAINING

Learn how to help parents divide property and and parent their children in separate households. The class covers family dynamics, parenting plans, domestic violence, child support and an overview of family law.

To enroll you must have graduated from a 40-hour mediation fundamentals class or the equivalent.

Cost $650 before October 15th. After October 15th cost $725.

MSU Resident Advisor Training

The CMC has developed a tailored conflict resolution training for MSU Resident Advisors (RAs).  During this training RAs will review conflict styles, mediation and skills, active listening and questioning, empathy and emotional intelligence.  RAs will watch a mediation and will role-play to resolve common roommate conflicts.

MSU Resident Life Mediation Training

The CMC, with Art and Kitty Lusse, have designed a 3-day course to provide the Residence Life team all of the basics for developing a mediation program serving its constituency.  This program will:

1) Train team members in the practice of mediation and prepare them to conduct mediations, facilitations and reconciliation processes.

2) Establish an in-house program as a community conflict resolution center for Residence Life.

24-hour Family Mediation Training in Missoula

Do you want to be able to conduct Family Mediations?

This 24-hour class is the first step. This training held by the CDRC in Missoula provides instruction in family mediation theory and practice, and will teach the fundamentals of how to help divorcing parents divide property and co-parent kids. You will also learn family dynamics, how to write a parenting plan, review family law, calculate child support, and understand domestic violence. 6th Grade Peer Mediation Training - Sacajawea Middle School

The CMC will be helping train incoming 6th graders as peer mediators.  Peer mediation is problem solving by youth with youth.  It is a process by which two or more students involved in a dispute meet in a private, safe and confidential setting to work out problems with the assistance of a trained student mediator.
